About Colonair
Colonair LLC is a California medical device company that was founded in 2005. Colonair specializes in manufacturing innovative technology to treat Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It provides the tools necessary for physicians to deliver the best possible care for their patients with motility dysfunction.
Colonair seeks to enable physicians to gain control over the management and care of their patients with IBS and constipation. Colonair technology is designed for the purpose of allowing physicians to perform brief outpatient procedures during routine office visits to reduce the symptoms of IBS. The Colonair treatment is performed without anesthesia or sedation.
Colonair is approved for use in Europe and Canada. In the United States, Colonair is not approved for sale and can only be used by doctors under investigational protocols. A preliminary FDA clinical trial was completed; efforts are underway to obtain approval for sale in the US.
